- An application was granted under section 94 and community work instead of disqualification was imposed on a charge of Driving Contrary to a Limited Licence.
- Mr M was in his early 50s and was a builder. He lived in a rural area. He had seven previous convictions for drink driving and one previous historical conviction for Driving while Disqualified. He had breached the Limited Licence by forgetting to complete his logbook when driving to get medical treatment for a workplace injury that had him off work for four months. If had had been disqualified he would have lost his employment and with his age and poor health his prospects for further employment were not good.
